Behind the meter means that the renewable energy installation (solar PV, battery storage or other) will be constructed and installed on the enterprise’s land or on pre-arranged land alongside the enterprise and connected directly into the enterprise’s electrical system. In this instance, there will be no interference with Utility or Municipal grids.
